Module 4 plate spur gears are massive cylindrical gears without a hub, with straight teeth and a pitch of 12.57 mm. They are designed for heavily loaded conveyor and lift gear drives and other heavy drives.

Module 4 plate spur gears - the right ratio without modifying the housing

A wide choice of tooth counts lets you select the transmission ratio without modifying the housing. A plate without a hub is lighter and easier to transport, and bolted to a flange it can be replaced quickly. We make the gears from C45E steel, and selected sizes also with induction-hardened teeth - the hard tooth surface resists abrasion, while the bore area remains soft and easy to machine.

When should I choose a hardened plate gear?

When the gear drive works under high load, frequently starts and stops or runs in dust. Hardened teeth wear more slowly, which extends the life of the whole gear pair.
