32B-3 triplex hub sprockets

32B-3 hub sprockets are sprockets with three tooth rims for triplex 32B-3 chain of 2" (50.8 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. They are the heaviest B series hub sprockets in our range, designed for drives in which the chain transmits exceptionally high torque.

Why does a triplex chain require precise sprocket alignment?

The load is spread evenly over three strands only when the sprockets lie in one plane and the shafts are parallel. Any deviation overloads the outer strand and accelerates wear.
