32B-1 simplex hub sprockets

32B-1 hub sprockets are simplex sprockets for 32B-1 chain of 2" (50.8 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. Even a single strand of this chain transmits forces typical of mining machinery and heavy conveyors.

A wide choice of tooth counts makes it easy to select the transmission ratio, and you bore out the pilot bore for your shaft. C45 steel withstands shocks well, and the massive hub provides a long keyway. For the driving sprocket you can choose a hardened equivalent, which wears more slowly.

How many reduction stages should be used in a 32B drive?

A very large speed reduction is better split into two stages. The driven sprocket then does not grow to huge sizes, and the chain runs under more favourable conditions.
