24B-1 hub sprockets are simplex sprockets for 24B-1 chain of 1 1/2" (38.1 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. A single strand of such a large chain is sufficient in many heavy conveyors and industrial machines.
24B-1 sprocket - transmission ratio and bore matched to your drive
A wide choice of tooth counts lets you select the transmission ratio, and you bore out the pilot bore for your shaft. C45 steel copes well with high forces, and larger sprockets are available in grey cast iron. When the driving sprocket has few teeth and runs faster, it is worth choosing its hardened equivalent.
24B-1 simplex sprockets in C45 steel and grey cast iron
24B-1 simplex hub sprockets in C45 steel with unhardened teeth, and larger grey cast iron sprockets. Versions with hardened teeth can be found in the Hardened hub sprockets group.
Frequently asked questions about 24B-1 simplex sprockets
How often should 24B chain be lubricated?
It depends on the speed and operating conditions, but the chain should never run dry. In dusty conditions, lubricate more often and remove contaminants, which act as an abrasive.
