24B hub sprockets work with 24B roller chain of 1 1/2" (38.1 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. 24B chain runs in heavy conveyors, crushers, mixers and construction machinery, where strength matters most.
24B hub sprockets - a ready component without welding a hub
A hub sprocket is a ready, complete component - all you need to do is bore the hole for the shaft and cut a keyway, without welding or building your own hub. C45 steel copes well with high forces, and larger sprockets can be chosen in grey cast iron, which dampens vibration. Compliance with the standard means the sprocket works with 24B chain from any manufacturer.
1 1/2 inch hub sprockets: simplex, duplex and triplex
24B-1 simplex, 24B-2 duplex and 24B-3 triplex sprockets - each version has its own subgroup. Sprockets with hardened teeth can be found in the Hardened hub sprockets group, and plate wheels without a hub - in the Plate sprockets group.
Questions and answers: sprockets for 24B chain
Hub sprocket or plate wheel?
A hub sprocket only needs to be machined for the shaft. A plate wheel requires its own hub or flange, but lets you later replace just the tooth rim - convenient with very large sprockets.
Does a 24B sprocket fit ASA 120 chain?
No. ASA 120 (24A) chain has the same pitch, but a different roller and inner width. Sprockets for American chains can be found in the ASA sprockets group.
