20B (1 1/4") hub sprockets

20B hub sprockets work with 20B roller chain of 1 1/4" (31.75 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. It is a chain for heavy drives - conveyors, winches, forestry, construction and industrial machinery.

20B hub sprockets - make the bore for a large-diameter shaft yourself

You bore the hub sprocket out exactly for your shaft, which with large shaft diameters gives you a flexibility that a finished bore sprocket cannot offer. C45 steel withstands shocks and high forces well, and selected larger sprockets are available in grey cast iron, which dampens vibration. The extended hub allows a long keyway that reliably transmits high torque.

20B-1 simplex, 20B-2 duplex and 20B-3 triplex sprockets - each version has its own subgroup. Sprockets with hardened teeth can be found in the Hardened hub sprockets group, and finished bore sprockets - in the Finished bore sprockets group.

Does a 20B sprocket fit ASA 100 chain?

No. ASA 100 (20A) chain has the same pitch, but a different roller and inner width. Sprockets for American chains can be found in the ASA sprockets group.

How do I select the transmission ratio in a 20B drive?

The transmission ratio is the ratio of the number of teeth on the driven sprocket to the driving sprocket. Very large reductions are better split into two stages so that the driven sprocket is not too large.
