16B-3 hub sprockets have three tooth rims and run with triplex 16B-3 chain of 1" (25.4 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. They are found in mines, cement plants, steelworks and large raw material processing machines.

Three strands of 16B chain transmit very high torque without resorting to a larger-pitch chain, which would require larger sprockets and more space. You bore out the pilot bore for your shaft, and larger sprockets are also available in grey cast iron.
