12B hub sprockets work with 12B roller chain of 3/4" (19.05 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. 12B chain runs in agricultural machinery, scraper conveyors, presses and construction machinery - wherever 10B chain is no longer strong enough.
12B hub sprockets - one sprocket can be matched to different machines
You bore out the pilot bore for your shaft and cut a keyway to DIN 6885, so one sprocket can be matched to different machines. C45 steel copes well with loads and is easy to machine, and larger sprockets are also available in grey cast iron, which dampens vibration. Standard-compliant sprockets work with 12B chain from any manufacturer.
3/4 inch hub sprockets: simplex, duplex and triplex versions
12B-1 simplex, 12B-2 duplex and 12B-3 triplex sprockets - each version has its own subgroup. When the drive runs fast or in dusty conditions, choose a sprocket with hardened teeth from the Hardened hub sprockets group.
Questions and answers: sprockets for 12B chain
Does a 12B sprocket fit ASA 60 chain?
No. ASA 60 (12A) chain has the same pitch, but a smaller roller and a different inner width. Sprockets for American chains can be found in the ASA sprockets group.
How can I check whether the chain is already elongated?
Measure the length of a section of a dozen or so links and compare it with the nominal value. Elongation exceeding approx. 2-3% means the chain must be replaced, because it starts to damage the sprockets.
