10B-2 duplex hub sprockets

10B-2 hub sprockets have two tooth rims and work with duplex 10B-2 chain of 5/8" (15.875 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. They transmit more power than simplex sprockets of the same diameter.

10B-2 duplex sprocket - a stronger drive without moving to 12B

A duplex drive lets you strengthen a machine without rebuilding it for 12B chain - the sprocket diameter stays the same and only its width changes. You bore out the pilot bore for your shaft, and larger sprockets can be chosen in grey cast iron.

10B-2 duplex hub sprockets in C45 steel with unhardened teeth, and larger grey cast iron sprockets. For high-speed drives, 10B duplex sprockets with hardened teeth from the Hardened hub sprockets group are intended.

What should I do when 10B-1 chain keeps elongating?

Consider moving to a 10B-2 duplex drive - it requires replacing both sprockets and the chain, but does not change the sprocket diameters or the centre distance.
