10B (5/8") hub sprockets

10B hub sprockets work with 10B roller chain of 5/8" (15.875 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. It is a chain for medium-loaded drives - in agricultural machinery, conveyors, mixers and woodworking machines.

10B hub sprockets - you bore the hole out for your own shaft

A hub with a pilot bore gives you mounting flexibility: you bore the hole out for your shaft, cut a keyway, and one sprocket fits different designs. C45 steel copes well with loads, and larger sprockets can be chosen in grey cast iron, which dampens vibration and makes the drive run more quietly. Compliance with the standard means the sprocket works with 10B chain from any manufacturer.

10B-1 simplex, 10B-2 duplex and 10B-3 triplex sprockets - each version has its own subgroup. Sprockets with hardened teeth can be found in the Hardened hub sprockets group, and finished bore sprockets - in the Finished bore sprockets group.

Sprockets for 10B chain - customer questions

Does a 10B sprocket fit ASA 50 chain?

No. ASA 50 (10A) chain has the same pitch but a different inner width, and the sprockets of the two series differ in tooth profile. Sprockets for American chains can be found in the ASA sprockets group.

When should the sprocket be replaced together with the chain?

When the teeth are pointed, have worn flanks or are hook-shaped. A new chain on a worn sprocket elongates quickly, so when replacing the chain it is worth checking both sprockets.
