04-1 (6 mm) hub sprockets
04-1 hub sprockets work with 04 simplex roller chain of 6 mm pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. This chain is for light drives where 05B chain would be too large and a toothed belt does not meet the requirements, e.g. due to temperature or dirt.
04-1 (6 mm) hub sprockets - a compact, light drive without slip
The small pitch lets you build a compact, light drive without slip, which works well in packaging and office machines, automation equipment, small conveyors and laboratory apparatus. You bore out the pilot bore for the shaft of the motor or mechanism, so you can match the sprocket without looking for non-standard parts. C45 steel provides durability while being easy to machine.
04-1 hub sprockets in C45 steel - for driving and driven sprockets
04-1 simplex sprockets in C45 steel with unhardened teeth, in a wide choice of tooth counts - from small driving sprockets to large driven sprockets. You will find them all in the Simplex (single-row) subgroup.
04 sprocket vs 04A (ASA 25) chain - frequently asked questions
Does an 04 sprocket fit 04A (ASA 25) chain?
No. 04 chain has a 6 mm pitch, while 04A has 6.35 mm. The difference is enough to stop the rollers seating in the tooth gaps. Sprockets for 04A chain can be found in the ASA sprockets group.
How do I fix a small sprocket on a shaft?
After boring out the hole you can cut a keyway or tap a hole in the hub for a set screw - with small sprockets this is often a simpler and sufficient solution.
