12B-1 hardened hub sprockets

12B-1 hardened hub sprockets are simplex sprockets for 12B-1 chain of 3/4" (19.05 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with induction-hardened teeth. They work best as driving sprockets in agricultural machinery and conveyors.

Hard teeth keep their profile longer, so the chain runs smoothly and you replace the sprocket less often. The C45 steel hub is not hardened - you bore the hole out and add a keyway without special tools.

No. A hardened sprocket has the same dimensions as a standard one - hardening only changes the surface hardness of the teeth.
