10B (5/8") hardened hub sprockets

10B hardened hub sprockets work with 10B roller chain of 5/8" (15.875 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. The teeth are induction-hardened, so these sprockets cope well with work in agricultural and construction machinery and bulk material conveyors.

10B hardened sprockets - less downtime in season and fewer replacements

A sprocket that wears more slowly means less downtime in season and fewer replacements per year. A tooth hardness of 45-55 HRC provides abrasion resistance, and the tough C45 steel core copes well with shocks. The hub remains soft, so you bore the hole out for your shaft.

Hardened sprockets for 10B chain - customer questions

Won't a hardened sprocket crack under shock loads?

Only the tooth surface is hardened, while the core and hub retain the toughness of steel. As a result the sprocket is abrasion-resistant and at the same time copes well with shock loads.

When replacing the sprocket, do I need to replace the chain?

If the chain is elongated - yes. A worn chain quickly destroys new teeth, even hardened ones.
