ASA sprockets (American, A series)

ASA sprockets are sprockets for roller chains of the American standard described by ANSI B29.1 (in ISO 606 as the A series). If your machine runs a chain marked 40, 50 or 60, an ASA sprocket is exactly what you need - a European B series sprocket of the same pitch will not mesh correctly with it.

Machines from North America and many machines from Asia run on inch-pitch chains. Instead of importing parts from abroad, you can buy an ASA sprocket from a European manufacturer - standard-compliant, so it fits chain from any manufacturer. We make the sprockets from C45 steel, and in selected sizes also with hardened teeth or in stainless steel.

Each chain size has its own subgroup, marked with the ISO symbol (e.g. 08A) - the product name also gives the ASA number (e.g. 40-1).

How do I read the ASA number?

The number indicates the chain pitch: ASA 40 is a 1/2" (12.7 mm) pitch, ASA 60 - 3/4" (19.05 mm), ASA 80 - 1" (25.4 mm). The number after the hyphen is the number of strands, e.g. 40-2 is a duplex chain.
