32B-2 duplex plate sprockets

32B-2 plate sprockets are plate wheels with two tooth rims for duplex 32B-2 chain of 2" (50.8 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. Typical applications are conveyor drives in mines and processing plants, crushers, presses and large forestry machines.

32B-2 duplex plate wheels - more power at the same sprocket diameter

Two chain strands transmit considerably more power without enlarging the sprocket. You bolt the plate to a flange or weld it to a hub, so when it wears you replace only the rim, not the whole assembly. Lower weight than a hub sprocket makes transport and fitting easier.

How can I extend the life of a large chain drive?

Ensure correct chain tension and lubrication and sprocket alignment. A worn chain quickly destroys a new sprocket, so when replacing a sprocket also check the chain elongation.
