28B (1 3/4") plate sprockets

28B plate sprockets are toothed rims without a hub for 28B roller chains of 1 3/4" (44.45 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. 28B chain is one of the largest in the B series and works where the drive transmits very high forces at low speeds - in mining, cement works, sawmills and heavy conveyors.

Can a 28B plate wheel be fitted without welding?

Yes. The plate wheel can be bolted to a flange or a hub with holes - this kind of connection makes later replacement of the rim easier.

Does a 28B sprocket fit ASA 140 chain?

No. ASA 140 (28A) chain has the same pitch, but a different roller and inner width. Sprockets for American chains can be found in the ASA sprockets group.
