16B-1 simplex plate sprockets

16B-1 plate sprockets are simplex plate wheels for 16B-1 chain of 1" (25.4 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606, for welding or bolting on.

16B-1 simplex plate wheels - lighter and cheaper than a hub sprocket

A wide choice of tooth counts, from small driving sprockets to very large driven sprockets, lets you select the ratio without compromise. A flat plate wheel is lighter and cheaper to ship than a hub sprocket, and for a driving sprocket in tough conditions you can choose the version with induction-hardened teeth.

How do I prepare a very large plate wheel for fitting?

Bore the hole on a lathe or boring machine concentric with the tooth rim, and set the plate on the hub in a jig before welding. Accurate alignment protects the chain from rapid wear.
