16B (1") plate sprockets

16B plate sprockets are flat plate wheels for 16B roller chain of 1" (25.4 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. Drives with this chain work in heavy conveyors, construction machinery and industrial equipment.

16B (1 inch) plate wheels - easy to transport and weld on site

A large hub sprocket is heavy and expensive to transport, whereas a plate wheel is easy to carry and weld to your own hub on site. A bolted-on rim can be replaced without dismantling the hub, which shortens the downtime of a heavy machine. Selected simplex and duplex plate wheels have induction-hardened teeth, which cope better with high forces and dust.

16B plate sprockets in three strand versions in C45 steel, also hardened

Simplex, duplex and triplex plate wheels in C45 steel, in separate subgroups. Hardened versions are offered among simplex and duplex plate wheels, and triplex ones in an unhardened version.

Preheating a large 16B plate wheel before welding - frequently asked questions

Does a large plate wheel need preheating before welding?

Yes, we recommend preheating. It reduces stresses and the risk of cracking in the weld zone, especially with thick plates.

Does a 16B plate wheel fit ASA 80 chain?

No. ASA 80 (16A) chain has a different inner width and strand spacing. Sprockets for it can be found in the ASA sprockets group.
