Sprockets (chain wheels) transmit drive through a roller chain without slip and at a constant ratio - even under high loads and at low speeds. As a manufacturer we offer sprockets for European and American chains in many versions, so you can match the sprocket exactly to your machine, without modifications or compromises.

Ozdowski sprockets - DIN/ISO compliant chain wheels: steel, hardened and stainless

We make our sprockets to the standards, so they work with any chain of the same standard, regardless of the manufacturer. The standard material is C45 steel - strong and easy to bore. For tougher conditions you can choose sprockets with induction-hardened teeth, which keep their tooth profile longer, and for moisture and the food industry - stainless steel sprockets. Some larger sprockets are also available in cast iron, which dampens vibration well.

Sprocket versions: with hub, finished bore, Taper-Lock and plate

With hub - universal sprockets with a pilot bore to be bored out for any shaft. Finished bore - the bore and keyway are already machined, so the sprocket is ready to fit straight away. Taper-Lock - quick fitting and removal on a taper bush, with no machining and no damage to the shaft. Plate - flat plate wheels to be welded or bolted on, ideal for your own designs. The range is complemented by tandem sprockets for two chains and sprockets with bearing for tensioners and chain guiding.

Sprockets for B series (DIN 8187) and A series (ASA) chains - what is the difference

The B series (DIN 8187 / ISO 606) is the European standard, designated e.g. 08B or 10B. The A series (ASA, ANSI B29.1) is the American standard, designated by the numbers 40, 50, 60 or the symbols 08A, 10A, 12A. At the same pitch, chains of the two series differ in roller and width, so the sprockets are not interchangeable - sprockets for American chains can be found in the ASA sprockets group.

How do I choose a sprocket for my chain?

Check the chain designation (e.g. 10B-1) - it specifies the series, pitch and number of strands. The sprocket must have the same size and the same number of strands. The number of teeth is chosen according to the required ratio and the space available in the machine.

Which version should I choose?

If you want to fit the sprocket straight away - choose a finished bore or Taper-Lock. If the shaft has a non-standard diameter - a hub sprocket with a pilot bore. For heavily loaded and dusty drives - a hardened sprocket.
