DIN 3760 oil seals, TTU rod seals and Seeger circlips

Oil seals - radial shaft seals to DIN 3760, with a lip made of NBR (nitrile rubber, the standard for oils and greases), FPM (fluoroelastomer, for higher temperatures and aggressive media) or silicone. Rod seals TTU for cylinders and HG KK seals. Seeger circlips - Z for shafts (DIN 471) and W for bores (DIN 472), also in stainless steel.

How to choose an oil seal - dimensions and NBR or FPM lip material

Read the three dimensions: the shaft diameter, the housing diameter and the seal width. Then choose the lip material: NBR for typical oils and greases, FPM for high temperatures or aggressive agents. During installation, protect the lip against sharp shaft edges and keyways.
