PJ Poly-V pulleys work with PJ ribbed belts with a groove pitch of 2.34 mm - the finest profile in our range. They are found in machine tools, fans, household appliances, fitness equipment and light industrial drives.
PJ Poly-V pulleys - a large ratio in a small space
The fine ribs let the belt run on very small pulleys and at high speeds, so you get a large ratio in a small space. You mount and remove pulleys for a Taper-Lock bush in a few minutes, without machining and without damaging the shaft, and you can adapt one pulley to different shaft diameters simply by changing the bush. The smallest pulleys have a pilot bore - you bore it out exactly for your shaft.
PJ Poly-V pulleys for a Taper-Lock bush and with a pilot bore
PJ profile pulleys in various diameters and with various numbers of grooves, with a seat for a Taper-Lock bush or with a pilot bore. The bush size is given in the pulley name, and bushes can be found in the Taper-Lock bushes group.
Frequently asked questions about bushes and the number of grooves of PJ Poly-V pulleys
Is the Taper-Lock bush supplied with the pulley?
No. The bush is purchased separately - its size is given in the pulley name, and you choose the bush bore diameter to suit the shaft.
Can I use a pulley with more grooves than the belt has ribs?
Yes. The pulley may be wider than the belt - what matters is that the belt sits entirely in the grooves and does not protrude beyond the edge of the pulley.
