Trapezoidal nuts and bearing lock nuts

Trapezoidal nuts work with a trapezoidal screw and convert its rotation into linear movement - or the other way round: a rotating nut moves a stationary screw. Trapezoidal nuts to DIN 103 - fit Tr screws from other manufacturers

The trapezoidal thread is standardised in DIN 103, so a nut with the same designation fits a screw from any manufacturer. You choose the shape to suit the mounting method - no need to make a seat or a flange. Bronze forms a low-friction sliding pair with a steel screw and offers good wear resistance, which is why bronze nuts are chosen for mechanisms that work frequently and under load. Steel nuts are suitable for adjustments and less frequently used mechanisms, and stainless steel ones - for damp conditions.

Flanged, cylindrical, hexagon and square trapezoidal nuts

Flanged nuts are bolted to a slide or table, cylindrical nuts are pressed or bonded into a seat, hexagon nuts serve as adjusting and lock nuts, and square and rectangular nuts are fixed with screws through the body. How to choose a trapezoidal nut for the thread, its direction and the mounting method

The thread designation of the nut must be the same as that of the screw, e.g. Tr 24x5, and the thread direction must match. Then choose the shape that suits the mounting method and the material according to how intensively it will work.
