Conveyor and modular belts

Conveyor belts form the carrying surface of the conveyor - the product moves on them between the workstations of a production, packaging or sorting line. A correctly selected belt ensures smooth, even transport without stoppages and without damaging the conveyed items.

Conveyor and modular belts - a replacement without contacting the conveyor manufacturer

You can buy a replacement belt without searching for it from the conveyor manufacturer - the dimensions and surface type of the existing belt are enough. Modular belts have an additional advantage: you replace a damaged section instead of buying the whole belt, and you change the length by single modules when extending the line. The drive transmitted by sprockets engaging the underside of the modular belt does not slip, and the belt does not track to the sides.

Modular belts with a 1" (25.4 mm) pitch made of segments joined by hinge rods - in the Flat Top version with a solid, flat surface for small and unstable products and Flush Grid with an open surface through which water drains and air flows.

How to choose a conveyor belt - width, length and surface

Start with the conveyor width and the dimensions of the conveyed products. Then determine the length: for an endless belt it must match the conveyor circumference, and for a modular belt you choose the number of segments. Finally, choose the surface - solid for small products, open for washing, cooling or draining.

Can a modular belt be repaired?

Yes. Damaged segments are replaced after sliding out the hinge rods - new modules must have the same pitch and the same surface type.

Which sprockets work with a modular belt?

Drive and return sprockets must have the same pitch as the belt, in this case 1" (25.4 mm).
