Extended pin chains are roller chains in which selected pins are extended and protrude from the side of the chain. Flights, guides, rollers or rods connecting two parallel chains are fixed to their ends.
Extended pin chains - ready for installation in a conveyor
The chain is ready for installation in a conveyor straight away - there is no need to weld brackets or drill plates. You fit cross rods onto the protruding pins, which shortens assembly and makes it easier to replace worn parts later. You choose the spacing, diameter and length of the extended pins to suit the machine design. We make the standard versions from C45 steel, with components hardened separately before assembly, and selected chains are also available nickel-plated, stainless and in 316L acid-resistant steel.
B-type roller chains with various extended pin spacings
B-type roller chains with an extended pin on every link or at a specified spacing, e.g. on every second or third pin. The diameter, length and spacing of the pins are given in the product name.
