Open-ended timing belts by the metre

Timing belts by the metre are open-ended synchronous belts that we sell by the running metre and cut to the required length. Unlike an endless belt, they do not form a loop - their ends are fixed to a moving part of the machine or joined with plates into a belt of any circumference.

Timing belts by the metre - an open-ended synchronous belt cut to size

You buy exactly as much belt as you need - without searching for an endless belt of an unusual length and without paying for excess. We cut the belt to size, so it is ready for mounting straight out of the package. One belt section by the metre serves axes of different strokes, and with joining plates you can build a loop that suits your design, including for long conveyors.

Open-ended timing belts with T, AT and HTD profiles in many pitches

Belts with a metric trapezoidal tooth T5 and T10 to DIN 7721, belts with a reinforced tooth AT5, AT10 and AT20, and HTD belts with a rounded tooth 3M, 5M, 8M and 14M - in several widths. Selected belts have a fabric facing on the teeth, which reduces friction when running over a slide bed. Plates for joining the ends can be found in the Belt clamping plates group.

Where open-ended timing belts are used - linear axes, gates and conveyors

Most often in linear axes, where the belt moves the carriage back and forth, as well as in sliding gate drives, handling systems, plotters and packaging automation. Long belts joined with plates work as conveyor belts in conveyors that require synchronised movement.

How do I join a belt sold by the metre into a loop?

The belt ends are joined with plates matched to the belt profile and width - you will find them in the Belt clamping plates group.

What length of belt should I order?

Choose the length according to the axis stroke or the drive circumference and add an allowance for fixing the ends. State the required number of metres in your order.
